Traveling Show Amusement Rides

Robert and his father formed a partnership in 1925 with the purchase of Robert's first amusement ride. This partnership owned amusement rides that were leased to The Oaks, other operators and parks (ie, Jantzen Beach Amusement Park) as well as traveled the fair circuit.

In the 1960's the Board of the Western Washington Fair asked Robert to take ownership of the midway games. The FunTastic entities were founded.

Through the years, "Gentleman Carnie" was a title Robert maintained. Traveling the fair circuit was a very difficult job which required a special person to handle the unique problems that arose.
