Ruth Passes

Ruth Bollinger, who with her husband, Robert, operated the Oaks Amusement Park in Sellwood, died Tuesday in a hospital. She was 68.

Mrs Bollinger began working at the Oaks at about age 16. The park has been owned by the Bollinger family since 1940 and was managed by them since 1925, when Robert Bollinger's father operated the park. In recent years, Mrs. Bollinger was semi-retired.

She was born in Portland and lived in the Sellwood area since 1918. She was a member of the Roller Skating Rink Operators Association and the Oregon Artists Association.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sisters, Irene Arnoldy of Lucern, Calif, Edna Moores of Los Altos, Calif, Mildred Smits and May Cochran, both of Seaside.
